Celebrating 35 years!
Yes, that’s me in 1986 at 22 years old, starting out in this business as an advisor/insurance representative working for State Mutual. I would sit for hours every day cold calling business owners to offer my services and schedule appointments to go out and meet. We didn’t have cell phones; we really didn’t have the internet, which meant looking up phone numbers and addresses and keeping a written list in my day planner. I know many of you remember our day planners!
Having worked for a large aeronautical company right out of college as a recruiter, I had a very brief experience with a big corporation and knew it was not a fit for me.
