As the official Summer Solstice, June 21st is the Longest Day of the year.
It’s also the day with the most light, and considering how heavy the world can feel at times, it’s a day that is worth celebrating and recognizing.
The Alzheimer’s Association has chosen to take June 21st even further by asking people across the world to use this day and the added hours we have in it as a way to engage with their loved ones by donating or fundraising for a good cause. Or, in their words, “fight the darkness of Alzheimer’s” with a positive and community-building activity.
